Tuesday, vacation day four: Funny how I always post past midnight. Oh well. I broke the record, I woke up at 2pm and if it weren’t for my mom’s call who knows until what time I could’ve slept. I’ve been out almost all day. Grocery shopping and after that I hit the movie theaters with some friends. Madagascar 3 was way better than Ice Age 4, I think it’s because Madagascar had reasons to have a sequel, the comical group of animals needed to go back home. As for Ice Age it was just another episode, no reasons to continue, too forced and unnatural. Prometheus was the icing on the cake. Very well done movie, I  haven’t watched a good sci-fi in a while. Could easily become one of my top favorite movies. Someone please give Noomi Rapace (Dr. Shaw) an award for her acting, it was impeccable.
First picture with my new haircut, it’s not as short as it seems but I did cut my bangs. I shouldn’t be up this late, got a breakfast at Crepes & Waffles with Kath and Ale tomorrow. Goodnight.

How the MTV Movie Awards should’ve went down..

Didn’t get to see it for myself but I just looked up the 2011 winners and the results prove that MTV knows nothing about movies. Period. These are the real winners for me:

BEST MOVIE
Black Swan
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Inception <—
The Social Network
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

BEST FEMALE PERFORMANCE
Emma Stone – Easy A (Sony Pictures)
Emma Watson – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (Warner Bros.) <—
Jennifer Aniston – Just Go With It (Sony Pictures) <—
Kristen Stewart – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (Summit Entertainment)
Natalie Portman – Black Swan (Fox Searchlight)
<—

Either Watson, Aniston, or Portman would’ve been fine, but Kristen?
I don’t see how she can compete with them.

BEST COMEDIC PERFORMANCE
Adam Sandler – Just Go With It (Sony Pictures) <—
Ashton Kutcher – No Strings Attached (Paramount Pictures)
Emma Stone – Easy A (Sony Pictures)
Russell Brand – Get Him to the Greek (Universal Pictures)
Zach Galifianakis – Due Date (Warner Bros. Pictures)

There’s obviously other categories but I can’t judge because there’s some movies I haven’t seen like Kick-Ass, The Roommate, The Fighter, Charlie St. Cloud, and others. The ones I do agree with was BEST SCARED-AS-SH**T PERFORMANCE and BEST KISS . Oh and Bieber winning BEST JAW-DROPPING MOMENT can’t be right.

Movies of the week.

X-Men First Class: 4/5 (but leading more towards a 5). Fast and Furious 5: 4/5. Still need to watch Pirates of the Caribbean, and today at the movies I saw a Rise of the Apes poster. Not even sure if that’s the name but I’m stoked!
